Redding Municipal Airport (airport ID: RDD) is the only commercial airport that provides daily airline passenger service in and out of the region. It is owned and operated by the city of Redding. Flights are provided by United Airlines (dba United Express) and PenAir with flights going to/from two destinations: San Francisco and Portland. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Redding Municipal Airport serviced 30,852 passenger boardings in calendar year 2015. Fall River Mills Airport
The Fall River Mills Airport is a general aviation airport located approximately one mile north of the town of Fall River Mills and 70 miles northeast of the city of Redding. It was originally built in the 1940's for the use of training pilots for military action in World War II.
Today the facility has a 5,000 foot runw, nine permanent T-hangers, five portable hangers, and 30 tie-downs.
